(Editor’s Note: a story from Alice Yeager and a letter from James Twyman. Alice chaired a PSI chapter in DC for several years.)
My husband and I attended musician and author James Twyman's peace concert tour event this past Sunday (March 25th) on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol. He gave other concerts in the area commemorating the 64 days between Martin Luther King's and Mahatma Gandhi's assassinations. I had received the inner guidance that we were to go hear him speak and sing on the DC Mall location from the moment I heard of the peace concert tour last fall. On Sunday, day 54 of his tour, he mostly spoke and then sang just a couple of songs. We then created the peace symbol on the ground as a group by laying the children's peace "cloth of many colors" brought by Gerry Eitner flat on the ground in the lawn in front of the DC Capitol steps. James Twyman had sounded somewhat disappointed in his voice as we gathered with only a few of dozen of us there for the event as he urged us to gather in others passing by to join in. There had been larger audiences at his other indoor events in the area that week and in other locations on his tour.
We were a small group sitting together on blankets and in lawn chairs enjoying the beautiful warm clear sky spring day. I remember gazing up at the Capitol several times during the event and noticed an armed guard watching us with a machine gun. James started his presentation by saying we were there as a gathering "for peace, not against war". It was a reminder to me of the Inner Peace Treaty guidance I received in 1994 to honor our forefathers vision of peace for all. I had sensed I was to give James a message as he walked by me by telling him that "Love is the air".
It turns out Love was and still is truly in the air, the breeze, the trees, the bees and…..the grass. The news story since Monday is that the grass where the cloth we placed on the lawn and we all stood around in the symbol of peace had left an impression of the image in the lawn. The DC Capitol police called on Monday to complain that the image needed to be removed. Overnight where the cloth had laid the grass grew much taller, lusher and greener than normal as though fertilized. The cloth image of the peace symbol had only laid on the grass for 15 minutes of the approximate two hours we were there. It may very well be that this is a hopeful "graphic" demonstration as a "miracle" sign of hope. It certainly offers a co-creatively inspired monument on the DC Capitol grounds as evidence of God's handiwork. I hope those who see it first hand will come to understand that there is loving peaceful Presence always with us to restore and sustain life.
When my husband and I went back down today to see it for ourselves first hand we were able to obviously see the greener, taller and lusher grass where we had helped lay the peace cloths the week before. I could also feel a soft loving vibration and smell a sweet presence in the area just as I did last Sunday. I wanted to get a picture from the balcony above but was told by the Capitol police that we had to take a tour that ended on the balcony and that the tickets sell out early each day especially this time of year. I then mentioned that we wanted to take a picture of the image in the grass because we had been part of the event the previous Sunday with the peace cloth. He then brought over two other officers and asked it they could ask us questions about it as part of an "on-going investigation". They took down our SS#'s, asked us for our photo ID, driver's license numbers and contact phone numbers if they needed to question us further. I kept feeling the sweet presence the whole time they were questioning us so it felt right to offer to be helpful in their investigation. One of the officers humorously wanted to know if there was miracle grow on the cloth. I said it did not have any grass enhancing chemicals in it but that it had the miracle of prayers of many children with their images of peace as well as the prayers of others sending it to us and Congress that day and for the Department of Peace bill to pass. I humorously suggested that it would be good if there was a congressional investigation about it. I also said I thought God had a sense of humor wanting us to experience a natural high on grass. I think they wanted to believe it themselves. My husband and I are in the front left of the second picture at this link.

My husband and I are in the holding hands circle on this page forth and fifth from the right on this website at: www.Communitiesofpeace.org The linked 'read more' page also shows a photo of the peace symbol image left in the grass. There are further write ups about the image at each website. Peace nouvella,

A Letter From James Twyman:
A miracle took place yesterday at the US Capitol during our peace concert in Washington, DC. I was informed about this only moments ago through a phone call from the Capitol Police Department and knew it was important to spread the word as quickly as possible. I hope you'll pass this email to as many people as possible throughout the world. We also hope to receive photos of the miracle to post on my website, www. jamestwyman.com
I believe that this miracle is a sign from Heaven. In fact, the Capitol Police are threatening to charge us to pay for the removal of the sign which appears on the west lawn of the building facing the Washington Monument.
Here's the story:
Eight years ago I initiated a peace project called the Cloth of Many Colors, a mile long quilt made up of millions of small swatches of cloth donated from around the world. It was presented at the UN, The US Capitol and the Pentagon in September of 2000, then around the world at many international peace gatherings. While at the Capitol the idea was born to create a children's version of the quilt, an idea that was successfully headed by the Master's Group, an organization in the Washington area. The Children's Cloth of Many Colors is now nearly as long as the original quilt.
During a concert and ceremony held on the lawn of the US Capitol yesterday it was decided to use the Children's Cloth to create an enormous peace sign, one that would be clearly visible for many miles. The symbol was soon completed and the ceremony held within. We could feel the energy radiating from the peace sign, and we shared many prayers asking for humanity to turn toward peace and a world based upon the laws of compassion and love. There was no way for us to know just how powerful our prayers of peace were!!!
According to the police, the quilt literally burned the peace sign into the lawn of the US Capitol. Though I am relying upon the reports of the police and have not seen the miracle with my own eyes, it is appar-ently clearly visible and they are hastily doing everything possible to have it removed.
But it won't be removed from our memories or our hearts. I believe that this is a brilliant manifestation of the prayers of peace from millions, even billions of people from around the planet who no longer resonate with the warring policies of many governments around the world, and it seems that Heaven has made its own feelings heard. There is no obvious physical explanation for this phenomenon. The quilt was placed softly on the ground for only one hour, so the possibility of a human cause is remote.
HUGGING JERUSALEM:
Over 5000 people are coming together from throughout the region to wrap their arms around the Old City of Jerusalem on May 21st, sending their prayers and light to help create peace. We are also designing an online component so millions more can join us online or in conference calls. This is going to be known as "the hug felt around the world."
