One afternoon when my boss was out and there was nothing to file, clean or organize, I decided to read - nothing else to do. I'd started reading this book a few days before and was now at the most exciting point in the story, where everything becomes clear. After I read a few pages, there was a feeling, a sensation, almost like someone knocking tentatively on a door. I ignored it and went on reading, entranced by what was unfolding as I read. The knocking came again, a little more persistent. I realized something was trying to get my attention. 'Later.' I thought and went on reading.
'We want to tell you something;' the message came from some internal message center.
'What do you want, I'm reading,' I thought.
'We want you to draw something.' 'What?'
'We want you to draw a key right now.'
"A key? Why do you want me to draw a key?" I asked, putting my book down.
'Draw three loops or circles, one over two and connect them.' I did.
"What are they for?" I asked. I was now conversing with them out loud as they continued to send me this information in thought form, but it was almost as if they were speaking aloud. They said, "These loops represent the One or Source of all at the top, and the two loops below represent Spirit and Man. This is the Trinity of Life. Now draw the shank of the key and make it like a skeleton key." I drew a slender flat shank. "Now, put a spiral design that repeats the length of the shank with a larger one in the center." I did and said 'what does this mean?' They said, "These spirals represent the cycle of reincarnation; life after life and the center circle should be redrawn a little larger than the rest, for this represents the Ascension of the Soul." I complied.
"Now for the part of the key that unlocks the door; it must be composed of two Amethyst pyramids, one pointing down and one pointing up and one crystal. These three components each have a meaning. The Pyramid pointing upward represents Humankind seeking Higher Consciousness. The Pyramid pointing downward represents Divine Truth. When these two pyramids connect with the crystal that lies between them we have the meeting of Higher Consciousness with Divine Truth that meets with the clarity of Enlightenment."
I did several drawings until I was satisfied that every detail was clear. Never had I been given directions for anything that could actually be created in the physical world.
Years later I came across the drawing and decided that it would be an adventure to actually bring it to life. I asked a friend if he could make the key. He did but it was not very good. I put it in a cigar box with some other odds and ends and forgot about it.
One day I was looking for something and came across the key in a cigar box. It was very tarnished, but somehow I knew I was supposed to be wearing it. I put it on a chain without even bothering to polish it. About fifteen minutes later I felt a soft, warm sensa-tion growing on my chest where the key was making contact with my skin. I told my husband and suggested he put it on. He had it on for about ten minutes when he too began to feel the same sensation I'd had. I decided that I would speak to a jewelry designer about having it reproduced so that the design would more clearly reflect its symbolism. A day or so after we met, I suggested the designer try the Key. I didn't tell him anything about what to expect, but to call me if he experienced anything. About twenty minutes later, he called very surprised to say that he was experiencing a warm sensation on his chest. More often than not, people who try it on feel a sensation of some kind. The stories are varied and so interesting.
I believe that the Key to Enlightenment represents the following: When Humanity seeks Higher Consciousness, or enlightenment, Humanity may realize that their very own Spirit and Divinity lies within and is the door where the Key finds its home.
