September 2010
STORY PLAY CLASSES FOR CHILDREN Thursdays, September 23 - November 18 (10-week session) 9:15- 10:00 a.m. for children ages 1.25 - 4 10:15-11:00 a.m. for children ages 1.25 - 4The South Shore Conservatory of Music is now offering their new Story Play program at The James Library. Part play group, part parent support group, this is a class designed for anyone looking to nurture their child’s creativity. More and more, there is pressure for young children to excel in pre-academics, while the value of play for its own sake is often lost. Each week will feature a favorite children’s book with artistic and multi-sensory thematic extensions and lots of easy ideas for creative connection and play at home. Class time includes structured activities and facilitated time for parents to share with each other. Plant those creative seeds today! Register online at sscmusic.org or call Jennie Mulqueen, SSCM Early Childhood Music director at 781-749-7565 ext 33. |
