The Fogg Lecture Series > Policy Responses to Climate Change & Implications for the Individual

Chet RaymoThe Fogg Lecture Series will host a lecture by Peter Kelly-Detwiler who will speak on “Policy Responses to Climate Change, and Implications for the Individual” on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, First Parish Church, Norwell, MA.

His presentation outline is:
• What does science tell of climate change?
• How is the world responding?
• Data points from Australia, Lloyds of London, etc.
• How is the U.S. responding?
• What are the implications?
• How can we as individuals respond?

Peter is the Sr. Director, Energy Technology Services: Constellation NewEnergy. He is responsible nationwide for working with corporations and municipalities on designing plans for energy reduction an/or the use of renewable energy technologies. He has been selected as the Earth Day speaker (April 22nd) at the Scituate Unitarian church and is working with the Duxbury UU church in implementing a plan for integrating the use of energy saving fluorescent light bulbs in church households.

As a proven leader in the energy marketplace, Constellation Energy is able to deliver costeffective, flexible energy solutions that will help reduce the potential problems associated with climate change. They support the continuation of a research program to help understand the science of global climate change. As the scientific, economic, and policy debates continue on a path toward determining the best approaches for mitigating climate change, Constellation NewEnergy will continue to promote efficient power and environmental technologies and energy services that will provide a wide range of choices to protect the environment.

The event will be held in the Parish Hall at First Parish Church in Norwell and is free and open to the public.
